A Baby Girl for the Luginbuhls

Science teacher Luke Luginbuhl and his wife, Angie, welcomed a baby girl to their family today, March 28! Adelie Luginbuhl was born at 3:00 am and joins three big brothers. She weighed 9 lbs, 2 ozs and measured 22.5 inches long. Congratulations to the Luginbuhl family!

Girls Soccer Opens Intercity

Congratulations to the girls soccer team on their victory on Monday! They opened the annual intercity tournament with a 7-0 win over BHS. Sarah LaFayette led the team with three goals, followed by Cassie Trosino and Meredith Heller who scored two goals each. The team will goes up against Normal West on Wednesday. Good luck ladies!

Annual Cogdal Relays Held on Saturday

U-High hosted the 51st annual Cogdal Relays on Saturday at Horton Field House. The Pioneers claimed a number of first place finishes throughout the day. Ally Shepherd was the 1,000 meter champion in 3:15.04, breaking her own meet record. Myles Aldridge won both the long jump and the triple jump events. Dane Alexander won the 1600 in 4:52.32. U-High relay teams also claimed victories in the 1600 and the 3200. Congratulations on a success meet, Pioneers!

Athlete of the Week

Ally Shepherd has been named an Athlete of the Week by WJBC! Ally defended her title in the 1,000-meter run (3 minutes, 15.04 seconds) and broke her own meet record at the Cogdal Relays. Congratulations Ally!

All-Area Basketball Team Selections

The Pantagraph recently released their selections for the all-area boys basketball team. Among the first team picks was senior Keondre Schumacher. Earning honorable mentions were senior Jack Martin and sophomore Kai Bates-Diop. Congratulations guys!
