The Links, Inc. Scholarships

The women of the Central Illinois Chapter of The Links, Incorporated are pleased to present the scholarship application for the 2017-2018 school year. The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit organization, established in 1946. We are seeking African American high school seniors who plan to attend a post-secondary accredited college. The application is available on our website at  Applications must be submitted online by February 16, 2018 or be postmarked no later than February 16, 2018.  Applicants must include all items referenced on the application. Positive Coaching Alliance’s Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship

Nearly 100 scholarships now available for Juniors graduating in 2019 ranging from $1000-$2000 will be awarded to student-athletes who apply this year. The application period runs from January 1-May 31st, 2018. National FINALISTS will be named around August, 2018 and NATIONAL WINNERS will be announced on a chapter by chapter basis from October, 2018-March, 2019. Scholarship funds will be disbursed in 2019 after college letters of acceptance are received.

2018 Japan Junior Ambassador Program

The Bloomington/Normal & Asahikawa SIster Cities Junior Ambassador Program is looking for 2018 participants. The 2018 trip is scheduled for summer 2018 and will last for approximately two weeks. Students currently in 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades are eligible to apply. The trip offers students a chance to learn about Japanese culture by visiting schools, businesses, government offices and Asahikawa-area attractions and landmarks. Students and chaperones stay with host families. An informational meeting about the program will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018, from 2-3 pm at the Bloomington Airport in the 2nd floor conference room.
