Thanks to a last second free throw from senior Amber Nanni, the U-High girls basketball team won the Limestone Class 3A sectional semifinal over Peoria Richwoods 27-16. Senior Raven Hughes led in scoring with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Congrats ladies!

Congratulations to Packard Otto and Dylan Carey for competing in the Illinois State Wrestling meeting this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Packard finished in the Top 8 Class A heavyweights just one match away from medaling. Dylan Carey placed 5th at 126 in one of the toughest weight classes in the state. Great job!

The U-High boys swim and dive team won the Pekin Sectional this year with 262 points. The team advanced four individuals in five events along with three relays teams. Colton Stogner led the team with two individual wins. He set pool and school records with his 20.99 second win in the 50 yard free. He also won the 100 free. Harrison Fudge won the 100 breaststroke and qualified in the 200 IM. Anthony Williamson took second in the 100 free and 3rd in the 200 free. Josh Nepomuceno took third in the 100 breaststroke. The 200 medley relay team of Andy Ritsema, Elijah Gray, Harrison Fudge and Josh Nepomuceno won their event in 1:38.48. The 200 free relay team of Kyle Johnson, Colton Stogner, Josh Neopmuceno and Anthony Williamson and the 400 relay team of Colton Stogner, Elijah Gray, Kyle Johnson and Anthony Williamson both finished in second place. Congratulations and good luck at state this weekend!

The U-High girls basketball team brought home the regional title after defeating Peoria Notre Dame 59-40 in the Class 3A Washington Regional. The team now stands at an impressive 27-4 record. They will move on to the Limestone Sectional in Bartonville on Tuesday where they will face Peoria Richwoods in the semifinal. Congratulations and good luck ladies!
