Questions:

What is OneDrive?

OneDrive is an online cloud storage program that will be replacing the S-Drives, or Network Drives from 2015 on. The S-Drives are going to be removed from the Network in the end of September, 2015 and so all of your files need to be transferred to OneDrive by that time. Don’t know how to use OneDrive? Learn more about it here.

Why can’t I log on to my computer/internet?

This is most-likely due to your password expiring. If you don’t know if your password has expired, go to your account management page, and in the password box, it will say “Your password is expired.” You can reset your password here, or click “change” in the password box.

How do I set up my home printer with my computer?

First, you will need to find the name of your printer, for example, HP Officejet 8600. You may need the help of help desk staff to download the correct driver from the printer company’s website (ie. HP, Epson), and install it on your computer. (Make sure you ONLY download the necessary drivers) Once it is is downloaded, run the program, and once it is finished the driver is installed. NOTE: You will have to complete additional setup at home, by running the program while you are connected to your home internet, and/or the internet the printer is connected to. (You can check by going to the Start Menu > Settings > Printers.)

How do I add a school printer to my computer?

Click the Desktop Folder Icon that says “Map Printers”. Next, you will see a list of room numbers, which are what printers you can connect to. Double click the printer(s) that you want to print from, and if it is successful, a box will pop up that says, “Check the printers folder for: <printer name>”. (You can check by going to the Start Menu > Settings > Printers.)
