The annual cross country intercity meet was held on Tuesday! The U-High boys team finished in second place and was led by Jackson McClure’s third place finish. The girls team captured first place for the ninth consecutive year! Counting for the girls team was Ella Bittner in first place, Mackie Madix in second place, Britney Ziemer in sixth place, Emmy Mussey in seventh place and Lizzy Zacharias in ninth place. On the boys side, Dane Alexander finished in fifth place, Cooper Wilken was 13th, Alex Hess was 15th and Sean Supan was 17th. Great job cross country!

The U-High soccer team defeated Springfield Lanphier 11-1 on Tuesday! Nathan Clay scored four goals, bringing his career total to the 100 goal milestone! Cayden Redd scored two goals for the Pioneers. Mason Wittman, Daniel Mosele, Joe Brown, Thomas Feely and Levi Dale also scored for U-High. The team is now 10-3, 5-0. Way to go guys!

The U-High volleyball team continued their conference domination on Tuesday! The Pioneers defeated Springfield Lanphier 25-14, 25-19. Kendall Burk had 14 assists, Tori Coleman had seven kills and Logan Murray had six digs. The team is now 16-4, 5-0. Great job ladies!

The U-High girls golf team shot a 179 on Monday, defeating Peoria Notre Dame at Weibring Golf Course in Normal. First place went to Maddison Murphy who shot a 38. Abby Klein came in third with a 44. Congrats ladies!

Congratulations to the U-High girls tennis team on their third place finish this weekend! The lady Pioneers finished in third place with 37 points at the Bloomington Gold Invitational out of 16 teams. The top finisher was No. 1 singles runner-up Abby Totten. In doubles, Abby Totten and Krithi Kandury (No. 2) and Calis Lim and Irene Park (No. 3) were fourth. Way to go ladies!

The U-High girls swim and dive team finished in second place with 436 points at the Lincoln-Way West College Events Invitational at New Lenox this weekend! The team finished in first place in seven events. First place finishers included Lilly Culp in the 400 IM and 200 butterfly; Caroline Bazan and 200 freestyle; Olivia Haerr in the 100 freestyle; Poleena Kovalaske in the 200 breaststroke; the 400 medley relay team of Hadley Fudge, Poleena Kovalaske, Lilly Culp and Olivia Haerr; and the 800 medley relay team of Lilly Culp, Caroline Bazan, Emma Stroh and Poleena Kovalaske. Way to go ladies!

Nathan Clay led in scoring in the U-High boys soccer team’s 5-1 win over Washington! Nathan scored two goals along with Camden Brown, JD Kelley and Cayden Redd who scored one goal each. MacCallan Conklin had five saves. The Pioneers outshot Washington 14-6. Congrats guys!

The U-High girls golf team shot a 325 and tied for third place with Loyola this weekend in the 16-team Mike Rusk Memorial Invite hosted by Decatur Eisenhower at Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur. Jadyn Spinks led with a fifth place tie with a 76. Adding to the score card were Jaiden Mapugay with an 82, Maddison Murphy with an 83 and Lexi Onsrud with an 84. Congrats ladies!

Congratulations to the U-High boys golf team on their performance this weekend! The team won the team title at the Dragon Classic held at the Lick Creek Golf Course in Pekin. The team was led by Jackson Yoder who finished in third place with a 74. The team finished with a 309 total. Also scoring for the Pioneers was Ethan Huynh (76), Cody Surma (80) and Brevin Knight (80). Great job, guys!

The U-High volleyball team defeated Mahomet-Seymour 19-25, 25-11, 25-12 in non-conference play on Thursday! Alayna Crabtree had 10 kills, Macy Tongate had 15 assists and 4 blocks and Logan Murray and 8 digs. The team is now 15-4 overall. Way to go ladies!
