My Wi-Fi icon has disappeared from my task bar and I cannot connect to the internet, what do I do?

Ensure you have access to a Wi-Fi connection, then restart the computer. If the icon does not re-appear after this restart, please bring your laptop to the helpdesk in UH226.

My laptop is frozen on the lock screen, what do I do?

Ensure you have access to a Wi-Fi connection. Then, press and hold the power button on the side of the laptop for at least 15 seconds, then press the button again to turn it back on. Allow for the computer to update if needed. Your computer should not freeze on the lock screen and should operate normally. If not, please bring it to the helpdesk in UH226.
