U-Link Learning Center

The U-Link Learning Center serves as an educational hub focused on enhancing academic success through a range of tailored support services, under the direction of Dr. Kirsten Hany.

  • Peer Tutoring Program

    At its core, the U-Link offers a robust peer tutoring program in math, chemistry, and writing, designed to foster collaborative learning and personal growth.

  • Collaboration with Illinois State University

    The U-Link Learning Center has a strong collaboration with Illinois State University pre-service teachers who bring a wealth of knowledge and academic expertise.

  • U-Connect Program

    The U-Connect program features college tutors specializing in a range of subjects, assisting students with mathematics and literacy-based skills.

  • Personalized Support Services

    While any student can access a peer or college-aged tutor, some students are assigned to the U-Link based on feedback from teachers and grade outcomes.

  • Dedicated Study Space

    Students do not need academic support to access the U-Link; it also operates as a dedicated study space, a flexible assessment location, or just for a space to recharge.

The U-Link Learning Center is more than just tutoring, it’s a space where students can get personalized help, strengthen their academic skills, and build habits for long-term success.

  • Access a Tutor

    Get one-on-one help in math, chemistry, writing, and literacy from trained peer or college-level tutors.

  • Become a Tutor

    Interested in helping others succeed? You may be eligible to earn independent study credit by becoming a peer tutor in math, chemistry, or writing.

  • Assessments

    Need to redo or retake an assessment, or make up work due to an absence? The U-Link can help, including offering support to students with accommodations.

  • Organizational System

    Struggling with time management or keeping on top of tasks? U-Link can help you create personalized organizational systems to support academic success.
